Nine companies, including Ericsson, AT&T, France Telecom, Panasonic, Philips, Samsung, Siemens, Sony, and Telecom Italia, recently announced that they have set up the Open IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) Forum. This forum will develop specifications for IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) services, and work to help achieve interoperability between content and devices based on the forum's specifications.
